Maggi Hall
Maggi Hall is a real estate broker, historic preservationist, and former teacher located in Deland, Florida. She has over 30 years of experience teaching special education and has published numerous articles and won many local, state and national awards for her dedication and commitment to bettering the lives of those around her. Maggi is a pioneer in her field and has never stopped pursuing her goals whether those be in the historical preservation, real estate or education fields.
Maggi Hall attended Stetson University for her Bachelor’s degree in Education and minor in History and Francis Marion University for her Master of Education in Special Education. She attended programs at the Smithsonian Institution, South Carolina State Museum, and North American Association of Environmental Educators to further her education and earn multiple certifications. From 2000-2007 Maggi completed 5 real estate broker courses to ensure she was one of the best in her field after making the career switch from education to real estate. In addition to her official certifications Maggi is competent in areas including: educational outreach, fundraising, financial planning, public relations, program development, public speaking, conservation, and coordinating volunteer programs.
Maggi Hall is a modern day renaissance women who has broken down many barriers throughout the course of her successful career in education. She was the first white teacher to integrate the all black school system in Durham, NC and developed educational programs for students with learning disabilities and for emotionally disturbed male juvenile delinquents. In addition to her accomplishments in public education Maggi founded and directed two educational institutions, the Marion County Museum and the Fork Retch Environmental Education Center.
In 2001 Maggi retired from teaching in the public school system. She founded West Volusia Properties and has been working as a real estate broker ever since. Her career has changed, but her goals of helping others and the environment have not. Her company is all inclusive when it comes to the types of properties they offer. Whether it be student housing, waterfront property or commercial properties they have it all.
In her spare time Maggi Hall can be found volunteering in her community and writing numerous publications on historical preservation, environmental conservation or real estate. She has won over 30 awards at the local, regional, state, and national levels for her dedication to her work and causes she believes in. Her career has expanded to several industries, but she has never let her level of commitment or level of excellent performance decline. Maggi continues to be a woman of action and leadership who will continue to inspire those around her.
